Run through Outward Bound Canada’s Training Academy for Outdoor Professionals, the NOLS Risk Management for Administrators training will be offered FREE to all approved applicants this year, with a limit of 25 participants.
This training program has a value of over $1,000, but will be fully covered by the Training Academy.

NOLS PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Whether your program is small or large, wilderness-based, or study abroad, you have a responsibility to your staff and participants to invest in risk management planning. Building a comprehensive risk management plan can feel daunting. Our goal is to provide you with a structured approach and tools to build a risk management plan appropriate for your organization. At NOLS, we’ve spent almost 60 years managing risk in wilderness environments around the world. We don’t just teach about operational risk management, we practice it every day. Join us to connect and share your valuable experience with your peers, and let us share our experience and lessons learned with you.

MATERIALS PROVIDED
Each participant will be provided with a Risk Management Training Workbook. Please bring paper and your writing utensil of choice or a computer to take any additional notes.
COURSE COMPLETION AND CONDUCT
Students who attend and participate in the entire course will receive a NOLS certificate of completion. Respectful behavior is required, and any behavior deemed inappropriate by the instructors may result in dismissal from the course.
